iQOO Z11 And Z11x Arrive In Malaysia With Big Batteries And Midrange Gaming Ambitions

iQOO has officially introduced two new midrange smartphones for the Malaysian market, the iQOO Z11 and iQOO Z11x. As expected from the brand, both models are aimed at users who want strong performance, long battery life, and gaming-friendly features without necessarily jumping into flagship pricing.

The two phones share the same general design direction, with flat sides, clean rear panels, and dual-camera setups at the back. However, the Z11x has a wider camera island, making it easier to tell the two models apart at a glance. Both devices also come with useful durability and software-related features, including Shield Glass display protection, IP68 and IP69 ratings, stereo speakers, Google Gemini support with Circle to Search, and OriginOS 6 with built-in AI functions.

In short, the Z11 and Z11x are not just basic midrange phones with large batteries. iQOO is clearly trying to position them as practical everyday devices that can also handle entertainment, gaming, and heavy usage.

iQOO Z11: The More Powerful Option In The Line-Up

The iQOO Z11 is the higher-end model between the two, and it starts with a large 6.83-inch AMOLED display. It offers a 1.5K resolution, a fast 144Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits.

That combination should make it more appealing to users who watch a lot of videos, play mobile games, or simply want a smoother and brighter screen experience. AMOLED also gives it an advantage in contrast and deeper blacks compared to the LCD panel used on the Z11x.

The phone also includes an in-display fingerprint scanner, which gives it a slightly more premium feel. For colours, Malaysian buyers can choose between Glacier Blue and Cosmic Black.

Snapdragon Chipset With Gaming-Focused Cooling

Inside, the iQOO Z11 runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. It is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, depending on the configuration.

Since iQOO often markets its phones toward mobile gamers, cooling is also a major focus here. The Z11 comes with what the company calls a 7K IceCore VC cooling system. This includes a 7,000mm² vapour chamber together with pyrolytic graphite sheets.

According to iQOO, this setup can reduce CPU temperature by up to 15°C. In real-world use, this kind of cooling system is meant to help the phone maintain steadier performance during longer gaming sessions, video recording, or other demanding tasks. It does not magically turn a midrange chip into a flagship processor, of course, but it can help reduce performance drops caused by heat.

A Huge 9,020mAh Battery On The Z11

One of the biggest highlights of the iQOO Z11 is its battery. The phone comes with a massive 9,020mAh battery, which is much larger than what we usually see in most mainstream smartphones.

For users who are constantly on mobile data, gaming, watching videos, using navigation, or simply dislike charging their phone too often, this is easily one of the Z11's strongest selling points. The large battery is supported by 90W fast charging through USB-C, which should help reduce waiting time when the phone eventually needs to be topped up.

iQOO has also included several battery-related features such as Bypass Charging, Battery Life Extender, and Overnight Charging Protection. Bypass Charging is especially useful for gamers because it allows the phone to draw power directly while reducing battery stress during long plugged-in gaming sessions.

Connectivity-wise, the Z11 supports 5G through dual SIM, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2.

Camera Setup On The iQOO Z11

For cameras, the iQOO Z11 uses a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor paired with a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 32MP selfie camera housed inside a punch-hole cutout.

The setup is fairly typical for this category. The main 50MP sensor will likely do most of the heavy lifting, while the 2MP depth sensor is mainly there to assist with portrait-style background separation. The 32MP front camera should be useful for selfies, video calls, and social media content.

iQOO Z11x: A More Affordable Alternative

The iQOO Z11x sits below the Z11, but it still carries many of the same core ideas. It is designed for users who want a large battery, 5G connectivity, decent performance, and a high-refresh-rate screen at a lower price.

This model comes with a 6.76-inch LCD display with a 2344 x 1080 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits. While it does not use an AMOLED panel like the Z11, the 120Hz refresh rate should still make scrolling, animations, and gaming feel smoother than a standard 60Hz screen.

Instead of an in-display fingerprint scanner, the Z11x uses a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Colour options for this model include Star Silver and Titan Black.

Dimensity 7400 Turbo And A 7,200mAh Battery

Powering the iQOO Z11x is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo processor. It is paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.

This makes it a more modest option compared to the Z11, but still suitable for everyday use, casual gaming, streaming, messaging, social media, and multitasking. For users who do not need the higher refresh rate AMOLED display or the larger 9,020mAh battery of the Z11, the Z11x could be the more sensible purchase.

Battery capacity is still very generous at 7,200mAh. It supports 44W fast charging through USB-C and also includes similar battery protection and energy-saving features found on the Z11.

For connectivity, the Z11x supports 5G via dual SIM, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.4.

Camera Setup On The iQOO Z11x

The iQOO Z11x also uses a dual-camera setup at the back, consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX852 main camera and a 2MP depth sensor.

At the front, it shares the same 32MP selfie camera as the Z11. This is nice to see because buyers of the cheaper model are not losing out on selfie resolution compared to the more expensive version.

Again, the camera system seems practical rather than flashy. The focus of these phones is clearly more on battery life, performance, display smoothness, and gaming-friendly usability.

Pricing And Availability In Malaysia

The iQOO Z11 is available now through vivo Concept Stores across Malaysia, as well as official iQOO online stores on TikTok Shop, Shopee, and Lazada.

For pricing, the iQOO Z11 costs RM2,199 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage version. There is also an 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant priced at RM1,899, but this version is available exclusively online.

The iQOO Z11x, on the other hand, is only available online. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model is priced at RM1,599, while the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version costs RM1,299.

Which Model Makes More Sense?

The iQOO Z11 is clearly the better option for users who want the stronger overall package. It has the better AMOLED display, higher 144Hz refresh rate, larger battery, faster 90W charging, Snapdragon chipset, and a more advanced cooling system. For mobile gamers or heavy users, it is the more complete device.

The iQOO Z11x is the more budget-friendly choice. It still offers a large battery, 5G, a 120Hz display, a 50MP main camera, and a 32MP selfie camera, but at a lower starting price. For users who mainly want long battery life and reliable daily performance, the Z11x may already be enough.

Final Thoughts

The iQOO Z11 and Z11x are interesting additions to Malaysia's midrange smartphone market because they focus heavily on battery life, durability, and gaming-friendly performance.

The Z11 stands out with its huge 9,020mAh battery, AMOLED 144Hz display, Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, and 90W fast charging. The Z11x keeps things more affordable while still offering a 7,200mAh battery, 120Hz screen, 5G support, and a practical camera setup.

For users who want a phone that can last long, handle entertainment well, and still feel responsive for gaming and daily use, iQOO's latest Z-series models are worth considering. The main decision really comes down to whether the better screen, larger battery, faster charging, and stronger cooling system on the Z11 are worth the extra money over the Z11x.
