Xiaomi Quietly Brings the Gaming Monitor G25i 2026 to Malaysia

Xiaomi has expanded its gaming monitor lineup in Malaysia with the arrival of the Gaming Monitor G25i 2026, a compact 25-inch-class display aimed at gamers who want high refresh rates without spending heavily. The new model sits alongside the larger G27i introduced earlier in the year, but takes a more compact approach with a 24.5-inch panel. Despite the fairly understated launch, the G25i 2026 is already available locally through Xiaomi's official Malaysian website.

A 240Hz IPS Panel for Fast-Paced Gaming

The G25i 2026 uses a 24.5-inch IPS LCD panel with a Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and a conventional 16:9 aspect ratio. Its biggest selling point is the 240Hz refresh rate, which should make motion feel significantly smoother in competitive games compared with standard 60Hz or 144Hz displays. Xiaomi also lists a 1ms response time and support for AMD FreeSync Premium, helping reduce screen tearing and stuttering when paired with compatible graphics hardware.

Brightness peaks at 400 nits, while colour reproduction covers 93% of the DCI-P3 gamut. That should make the monitor suitable not only for gaming but also for general media consumption and light creative work where wider colour coverage is useful. Xiaomi has also included hardware-level low blue light protection to reduce exposure during longer gaming or work sessions.

Gaming Features Go Beyond the Basic Specifications

Xiaomi has added several gaming-oriented functions directly into the monitor. One of them is Darkness Enhancement Pro, which is designed to brighten darker parts of a scene without excessively washing out brighter areas. The intention is to make enemies or objects hidden in shadow easier to see, particularly in competitive shooters or darker games.

The monitor can also display a customisable on-screen crosshair for games that do not provide one by default. Another feature called Night Vision is intended to further improve visibility in dim environments, helping players identify targets that might otherwise blend into darker backgrounds. These features are software-style enhancements built into the display rather than something that depends on individual game support.

A Clean Design With Slim Bezels

Physically, the G25i 2026 adopts a relatively simple gaming-monitor design with three narrow bezels around the display. Xiaomi says the slim borders help create a more immersive viewing experience while also making the monitor more suitable for multi-screen setups. The overall styling is restrained compared with gaming displays that rely heavily on RGB lighting or aggressive chassis designs.

The included stand supports tilt adjustment, although it does not appear to offer more advanced ergonomic features such as swivel or height adjustment. Users who want greater flexibility can instead rely on the built-in VESA mounting support, which allows the monitor to be attached to a compatible arm or wall mount.

Connectivity Covers the Essentials

The G25i 2026 keeps its port selection straightforward. Xiaomi includes a DisplayPort 1.4 connection, an HDMI 2.0 port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a DC input for power. That should be sufficient for most gaming PCs, consoles and laptops, although users wanting multiple HDMI inputs or USB connectivity will need to look elsewhere.

DisplayPort will likely be the preferred connection for PC users who want to take full advantage of the monitor's 240Hz refresh rate. HDMI 2.0 still provides useful flexibility for consoles and other devices, particularly when high refresh rates are not the main priority.

The 1080p Resolution Makes Sense at This Size

Full HD may sound relatively modest compared with the growing number of 1440p and 4K gaming monitors, but at 24.5 inches it remains a practical choice. The lower resolution places less demand on the graphics card, making it easier to reach the very high frame rates needed to properly benefit from a 240Hz panel. That makes the G25i 2026 particularly suitable for competitive titles such as shooters, MOBAs and esports games.

For users focused more on visual detail than raw frame rate, a higher-resolution monitor may still be preferable. The G25i 2026 is clearly prioritising speed, affordability and responsiveness rather than maximum pixel density.

A Strong Value Proposition at RM549

The Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G25i 2026 is now available in Malaysia for RM549, putting it into a very competitive price category. At that price, a 240Hz IPS panel with FreeSync Premium, 1ms response time and wider colour support is a fairly attractive combination for budget-conscious gamers.

The monitor is unlikely to compete with premium HDR displays or high-resolution OLED gaming panels, but that is not really its purpose. Instead, Xiaomi appears to be targeting users who want smoother gameplay and fast response times without moving into much more expensive territory.

Final Thoughts

The Xiaomi Gaming Monitor G25i 2026 is a straightforward gaming display that focuses on the features that matter most for competitive play: high refresh rate, fast response time, adaptive sync and a compact Full HD panel. Its built-in gaming tools such as Darkness Enhancement Pro, Night Vision and the customisable crosshair add some useful extras without dramatically increasing the price.

The stand is fairly basic and connectivity is limited to the essentials, but those compromises are understandable at RM549. For users who mainly play fast-paced games and want to move up to 240Hz without spending much, the G25i 2026 looks like one of Xiaomi's more interesting budget gaming displays in Malaysia.
