Carabat AI, a proudly homegrown technology brand specializing in smart lifestyle solutions, has officially opened its first customer experience outlet at Sunway Avila Avenue, Wangsa Maju. The launch event, officiated by Datuk Johan Pahlawan Lela Perkasa Sitiawan Datuk Muhammed Abdullah, marks an exciting milestone for the company as it moves from an online-only presence into a physical retail experience.
Bringing Smart Living to Life
Until now, Carabat AI's operations were primarily online — through its official website and major e-commerce platforms. The new outlet changes that by creating a hands-on, interactive environment where visitors can explore and test a wide array of AI-powered home and lifestyle technologies in person.
During the opening, the company showcased its flagship smart home and kitchen appliance range, which seamlessly integrates with the brand's proprietary Astana App — a central hub designed to unify and simplify the connected home experience.
The Astana App: The Heart of Carabat AI's Ecosystem
Developed in-house, the Astana App serves as the backbone of Carabat AI's smart ecosystem. Available for both iOS and Android, the app allows users to automate, monitor, and personalize a wide variety of devices — from air solutions and smart switches to kitchen appliances, CCTV systems, and home security setups.
One of its biggest advantages is addressing a common frustration among smart home users: the need to juggle multiple apps for different brands and devices. With Astana, everything is brought together in a single, intuitive interface, making smart living more accessible and user-friendly for everyone.
Built by Malaysians, for Malaysians
Carabat AI's CEO, Shafiq Jailani, emphasized that all products are conceptualized, designed, and developed locally in Malaysia with the needs of Malaysian consumers in mind. While research and development are carried out domestically, manufacturing is done in China to ensure cost efficiency without compromising on quality.
This hybrid approach allows Carabat AI to stay competitive globally while maintaining a strong local identity rooted in innovation and practicality.
Expanding Across Malaysia
The company's ambitions extend well beyond Wangsa Maju. Carabat AI announced plans to open 15 outlets nationwide by the end of this year, expanding to 50 by 2026, and reaching up to 150 by 2028. Approximately 30 outlets are set to open in Sabah, with additional branches planned for Sarawak.
Alongside the Wangsa Maju store, new outlets have already been launched in Sri Hartamas, Penang, and Kota Bharu, with more coming soon to Wisma Sabah, Seremban 2, and Subang by November.
Making Smart Living Mainstream
According to Perakash Nair, Carabat AI's marketing manager, this rapid expansion aims to make AI-driven smart living accessible to everyday Malaysians — not just tech enthusiasts. Beyond home automation, Carabat AI also markets wearables, smart glasses, and charging solutions through its subsidiary brands, Exvix and NURAIV.
All these products are available for hands-on demonstrations and purchase at the company's new outlets, giving consumers a real-world glimpse into the convenience of an interconnected, intelligent lifestyle.
A Bright Future for Malaysia's Smart Tech Industry
Carabat AI's launch in Wangsa Maju isn't just about one outlet — it symbolizes a larger shift toward locally-driven technological innovation in Malaysia's smart living market. With its focus on accessibility, local R&D, and user-centric design, the company is paving the way for a future where AI-enhanced living becomes part of the everyday Malaysian household.
