Today marks the beginning of an exciting project: developing a WebTV platform for streaming popular Malaysian television channels. The platform will be integrated directly into a website, allowing users to access their favorite local channels with ease and convenience. This initiative aims to create a centralized space for Malaysians to enjoy their preferred TV programs seamlessly online.

The platform will initially feature a wide range of local channels, including RTM1, RTM2, TV3, OKEYTV, RTM Sukan, RTM Berita, TV7, and RTM Parliament. These channels were selected to ensure a comprehensive representation of Malaysian entertainment, news, sports, and parliamentary broadcasts. By focusing on local channels, the platform will celebrate and promote Malaysian culture and content.

The WebTV will be accessible on both mobile and desktop views, ensuring compatibility and ease of use across devices. This accessibility means that users can enjoy their favorite channels anywhere, whether on the go or at home. The platform's responsive design will provide an optimized experience regardless of screen size.

Development has started with a web-based implementation as the first phase of the project. Once the website is fully operational and stable, the focus will shift to creating dedicated applications for Android-TV and Android-Phone platforms. This phased approach ensures a robust foundation and gradual expansion to meet the needs of various users.

In the future, the project will also target iOS development, making the platform available to an even wider audience. This addition will cater to Apple device users, further expanding the reach and inclusivity of the WebTV service. By ensuring compatibility across major operating systems, the platform aims to be universally accessible.

Importantly, there is no intention of monetizing the platform. The service will be entirely free, with the primary objective being to provide a valuable resource for the Malaysian public. This altruistic approach underlines the project's commitment to enriching local media access without commercial motives.

Simultaneously, a Hospital Smart TV App is being conceptualized as an added value for inpatient in-room entertainment services. The app will integrate with the Hospital Information System (HIS) to provide personalized and convenient entertainment for patients. As hospitals increasingly adopt Smart TVs, this innovation aligns with modern trends and enhances patient experiences.

Lastly, there is no plan to include external non-Malaysian channels at this stage. The focus will remain on local, free-to-air channels to avoid any potential legal complications. By prioritizing Malaysian content, the platform will maintain its cultural and legal integrity while serving the community effectively.
