MyJPJ App Now Allows "P" License Holders to Upgrade to "CDL" Online

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has introduced a new feature in the MyJPJ app that enables Probationary Driving Licence (PDL) holders to upgrade their licences to a Competent Driving Licence (CDL) entirely online. This enhancement eliminates the need for applicants to visit JPJ offices, offering a more convenient and time-saving solution.

Who Benefits from This Update?

According to JPJ Director-General Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli, this feature is set to benefit approximately 2.38 million eligible PDL holders. With this online application system, drivers can now apply for a CDL anytime, anywhere, directly from their smartphones.

Why This Matters

JPJ has designed the new system to be user-friendly, ensuring a smooth transition from a probationary to a full licence without unnecessary delays. This move aligns with the department's digital transformation efforts, making government services more accessible to the public.
