Ever get lost in a whirlwind of messages in a busy WhatsApp group? You're not alone—and it looks like WhatsApp is finally doing something about it.
The messaging app is currently working on threaded message replies, a feature that's been high on many users' wishlists. While it's still in development, once it's ready, it's expected to roll out across one-on-one chats, group chats, communities, and even channels.
So what's the big deal? With threaded replies, you'll be able to tap on a response and instantly see all related replies grouped neatly under the original message. No more endless scrolling or trying to figure out who's replying to what—everything stays in one tidy thread. It's a small change that could make a huge difference, especially in group chats where conversations often go off in a dozen directions.
This feature should bring a lot more structure to chats, help keep discussions organized, and just make the overall WhatsApp experience feel more polished.
That said, don't expect it to show up in your app just yet. According to WABetaInfo, the feature is hidden inside the WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.25.7.7, but it's not active—even for beta testers. So we might still be a little ways off from seeing it live, and as with all beta features, there's no guarantee it'll reach the final version.
Still, it's a promising sign that WhatsApp is listening to users and working on improving how we chat—especially in the ever-growing chaos of group conversations.
