At the heart of this partnership is the rollout of Alipay+ EasySafePay 360, an AI-driven security solution designed to shield both online and offline transactions. Beyond just payment protection, the service is built to detect and block account takeover attempts, a form of fraud that has been on the rise globally.

One of its most user-friendly features is the Money-Back Guarantee system, which ensures that users are fully reimbursed for any unauthorised transactions. This not only safeguards finances but also helps build user trust in e-wallets as a secure method of payment.

Why Asia Is a Prime Target for Fraud

The move comes at a critical time. Asia, being one of the fastest-growing regions for digital wallet adoption, has also become a hotspot for fraud-related activities. According to industry data, 42% of global fraud cases originate in Asia, and in 2023 alone, around 15% of e-wallet accounts were compromised. With account takeover fraud incidents climbing, security has become a top priority for service providers.
