Google Gemini Now Supports Up to 10 Image Uploads Per Prompt

Google has rolled out a major update to its Gemini AI chatbot, allowing users to upload up to 10 images per prompt, significantly increasing the tool's visual processing capabilities. Previously, users were limited to uploading just one image per prompt.

Broader Access Across Platforms

The update is now available across Android, iOS, and web platforms, providing consistent functionality regardless of the device. Previously, users attempting to add more than one image were prompted to replace the existing one, but the new limit allows a richer and more comprehensive AI interaction.

Compatible with All Gemini Models

This enhancement supports all currently available Gemini models:

Whether you're using the standard or more advanced models, this new feature works seamlessly across the board.

Expanded Camera Integration on Mobile

For mobile users, Gemini's built-in camera feature also benefits from this update. After taking an image, users can now reopen the viewfinder to snap additional pictures without losing prior entries. If this option doesn't appear, Google recommends force-stopping the app and restarting it, as the update is rolling out in phases.

Official Announcement and Rollout

The change was confirmed by Josh Woodward, Gemini's product lead, through a post on X (formerly Twitter). The update reinforces Google's commitment to enhancing Gemini's multimodal abilities, keeping pace with rapidly evolving AI tools from competitors.

Speculation: New Subscription Tiers on the Horizon

In related news, Google is rumored to be preparing two new premium tiers above the current Gemini Advanced plan — possibly named Gemini Pro and Gemini Ultra. While not yet confirmed, these plans are expected to include enhanced features like longer context limits, advanced multimodal support, and potentially faster response times.

These new tiers may be unveiled at the upcoming Google I/O event, as Google continues expanding Gemini's reach into productivity, creativity, and enterprise use cases.

A Step Toward Multimodal AI Leadership

This update highlights Google's ambition to position Gemini as a powerful all-in-one assistant, capable of processing complex queries involving images, text, and more. It places Gemini in direct competition with OpenAI's ChatGPT Plus, Anthropic's Claude, and other advanced chatbots.

With image processing now more robust, Gemini becomes an even more useful tool for:
