Careless Whisper is one of the most iconic ballads of all time. The moment that smooth saxophone melody starts, you know exactly what song it is. But this time, I wanted to try something different—a dual lead guitar cover that combines both the vocal melody and the saxophone lead, each played on separate guitars. The result? A rich, expressive instrumental interpretation of this timeless track.

The Concept: Two Guitars, Two Voices Instead of choosing between playing either the saxophone line or the vocal melody, I thought—why not do both? In this cover, I arranged the song for two lead guitars:

Layered together, these two guitars converse with one another, just like the original arrangement between vocals and sax. It becomes a melodic dialogue—completely instrumental, yet emotionally intact.

Tone and Feel 

To stay true to the mood of the original song, I went with a clean guitar tone, lightly enhanced with reverb for that soft, spacious atmosphere. The tone needed to be:
