Microsoft Edge has been going through a lot of visual changes over the past few years. Some users like the newer rounded design, softer interface, and modern Windows 11-style appearance. Others, however, prefer the cleaner and sharper browser layout where the webpage reaches the edge of the browser without an extra rounded border around it.

There was a time when a browser was simply a browser. You opened it, searched for something, visited websites, downloaded files, copied text, right-clicked when needed, and moved on with your day. Simple. Predictable. Peaceful. Then came the modern AI invasion. Suddenly every software company decided that every button, menu, sidebar, search bar, document editor, and browser window needed an AI assistant sitting inside it. Google Chrome is no exception, and one of the more annoying examples is the "Ask Gemini" option that has started appearing inside Chrome's interface and context menus.

Windows 11 has made power management simpler on the surface, but slightly confusing once you start comparing the available options. In older versions of Windows, many users were used to seeing classic power plans such as Balanced, Power Saver, and High Performance inside Control Panel. In Windows 11, Microsoft has pushed most everyday users toward the newer Power mode setting under Settings > System > Power & battery.

If you've ever carefully set your Documents folder to show details view, added your favorite columns, sorted things just nicely… only to return tomorrow and see everything completely reset, you're not alone. It is one of those long-standing Windows quirks that somehow still exists, especially in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
