Logitech Introduces Signature Comfort Series In Malaysia With New Mice And Keyboard Combo

Logitech Malaysia has introduced its new Signature Comfort Series, expanding its productivity-focused lineup with two wireless mice and a keyboard-and-mouse combo. The new range includes the Logitech Signature Comfort Plus M850 L, the Signature Comfort M840 L, and the Signature Comfort Plus Combo MK880.

As the name suggests, this lineup is not aimed at gamers or users looking for highly specialised performance hardware. Instead, Logitech is focusing on everyday productivity, long working hours, and comfort. These are the kinds of peripherals meant for people who spend most of their day typing, scrolling, replying to emails, working on documents, managing spreadsheets, joining meetings, and switching between devices.

For many users, especially office workers and home users, comfort often matters more than flashy specifications. A keyboard or mouse may look simple on paper, but if it feels better after hours of use, that can make a noticeable difference in daily work.

Designed For Everyday Productivity

The Signature Series has always been Logitech's more practical and mainstream productivity range. It sits in the space between basic entry-level accessories and more premium productivity devices such as the MX series.

With the new Signature Comfort line, Logitech appears to be placing more emphasis on ergonomics and long-term comfort. The two mice are designed for general daily use, while the MK880 combo adds a matching keyboard for users who want a complete desk setup.

This approach makes sense because many people still prefer simple, reliable, wireless peripherals that work across multiple devices and do not require constant charging. Logitech is also continuing to support both Bluetooth LE and its Logi Bolt USB Receiver, giving users flexibility depending on whether they prefer a dongle-based connection or a direct Bluetooth setup.

Logitech Signature Comfort Plus M850 L

The Logitech Signature Comfort Plus M850 L is the more comfort-focused mouse in the lineup. Its key feature is what Logitech calls a palm cushion design. In practical terms, this means the rear section of the mouse includes a cushioned surface where the user's palm rests during use.

This design appears to be aimed at users who prefer a more relaxed grip. Instead of relying only on a hard plastic shell or rubber side grips, the mouse includes a softer upper resting area, which may help reduce discomfort during longer work sessions.

The M850 L still uses AA batteries rather than a built-in rechargeable battery. Some users may prefer rechargeable devices, but Logitech is claiming up to 24 months of battery life, which reduces the inconvenience quite a bit. For office users, this means the mouse can be used for a very long time before needing a battery replacement.

Connectivity is handled through Bluetooth LE or the Logi Bolt USB Receiver. This makes it suitable for laptops, desktops, and shared work environments, especially where wireless reliability is important.

M850 L And M840 L Are Mostly Similar

In terms of core specifications, the M850 L and M840 L are very similar. Both mice use Logitech's Pluto ONE sensor, offering a DPI range from 400 to 4,000. That should be more than enough for typical office and productivity use, whether the user is working on a standard monitor, a larger display, or a multi-monitor setup.

Both mice also include six buttons in total, including a DPI selector near the scroll wheel. Four of the buttons are programmable, giving users the option to customise shortcuts or actions based on their workflow.

The main difference is comfort design. The Logitech Signature Comfort M840 L is essentially the same mouse as the M850 L, but without the palm cushion. This makes it the simpler and more affordable option for users who want the same general features but do not need the added cushioned palm rest.

This is a sensible split. Some people may like the softer palm area, while others may prefer a cleaner, more traditional mouse shape. By offering both, Logitech gives users a choice without making the lineup too confusing.

Logitech Signature Comfort Plus Combo MK880

The Logitech Signature Comfort Plus Combo MK880 is the complete keyboard-and-mouse package in the new lineup. According to Logitech, the mouse included in the combo is the same M850 L model with the palm cushion design.

The keyboard, however, is not being sold separately at this stage. That makes the MK880 combo a bit unusual because users who want the keyboard alone do not appear to have that option for now.

Like the mouse, the keyboard is also powered by external batteries. It uses two AAA batteries and is rated for up to 36 months of battery life. That is longer than the mouse's 24-month estimate and should make it convenient for users who do not want another device to charge regularly.

For connectivity, the keyboard also supports Bluetooth LE and the Logi Bolt USB Receiver. This keeps the combo aligned with Logitech's broader productivity ecosystem and allows users to connect in the way that best suits their setup.

Keyboard Comfort And Typing Feel

The keyboard in the MK880 combo uses plunger keys, which are generally described as a hybrid between membrane and scissor-switch mechanisms. This type of key design is usually intended to provide a low-profile typing feel while still keeping the keyboard quieter and more affordable than mechanical alternatives.

Another major comfort feature is the non-removable dual-foam palm rest. This is clearly designed for users who type for long periods and want more support at the front of the keyboard. A built-in palm rest can help make the keyboard feel more complete on a desk, although some users may prefer removable wrist rests for easier cleaning or more flexibility.

The fact that the palm rest is fixed means the MK880 is likely best suited for users who already know they prefer that type of typing setup. It may not appeal as much to users who prefer compact keyboards or a more minimal desk layout.

Malaysia Pricing And Colour Options

Logitech Malaysia has confirmed the local prices for the new Signature Comfort Series. The Logitech Signature Comfort Plus M850 L is priced at RM299, while the Signature Comfort M840 L costs RM239. The Signature Comfort Plus Combo MK880 is priced at RM519.

All three products will be available in graphite, off-white, and black. Availability in Malaysia begins in June.

The pricing places these products in the mainstream productivity category rather than the budget segment. The M840 L is the most accessible option, while the M850 L adds the palm cushion design for users who want the extra comfort feature. The MK880 combo is aimed at users who want a complete Logitech keyboard-and-mouse setup in one package.

How The Local Pricing Compares Internationally

Internationally, the Logitech Signature Comfort Plus M850 L is priced at US$49.99, while the M840 L is priced at US$39.99. The MK880 combo is listed at US$99.99.

When converted directly, the international prices appear lower than the Malaysian retail prices, but local pricing usually includes factors such as taxes, distribution, warranty support, exchange rates, and retail margins. In Malaysia, the confirmed prices are RM299 for the M850 L, RM239 for the M840 L, and RM519 for the MK880 combo.

Logitech also offers "for Business" versions of the M850 L and MK880 in some markets. These versions come with enterprise-focused material upgrades and support, with a US$10 premium internationally. It remains to be seen how widely those business versions will be offered locally.

Final Thoughts

The Logitech Signature Comfort Series is a practical update for users who want wireless productivity peripherals with a stronger focus on comfort. The M850 L stands out because of its palm cushion design, while the M840 L offers a more straightforward version of the same mouse experience. The MK880 combo brings the idea together with a matching keyboard and mouse setup for users who want a complete work desk package.

These products are not trying to be flashy. They are built around the kind of everyday use that many people actually care about: long battery life, quiet operation, wireless flexibility, programmable controls, and better comfort over extended sessions.

For Malaysian users looking for a new office or home productivity setup, the Signature Comfort Series could be worth considering when it becomes available in June, especially for those who spend long hours at the desk and prefer Logitech's familiar ecosystem.
