Apple is reportedly preparing a major AI-focused overhaul of Siri, and privacy may become one of the biggest selling points of the new experience. The refreshed assistant is expected to be introduced during WWDC 2026 in June, where Apple is likely to show how Siri will evolve from a traditional voice assistant into something closer to a modern AI chatbot.

Switching between AI chatbots has never really been a common thing—at least not in the same way we switch phones or laptops. But that might be starting to change. With more people experimenting across platforms, Google is now making it easier to move over to its AI assistant, Google Gemini, without starting from scratch.

Google Maps is about to become a lot more conversational and a lot more visually helpful, thanks to a fresh wave of Gemini-powered upgrades. Google has introduced two major AI-driven additions for Maps called Ask Maps and Immersive Navigation, both designed to make getting around feel more natural, more personalised, and less like a constant battle with tiny buttons and last-minute lane changes.

Artificial intelligence is steadily becoming part of everyday academic life, and in Malaysia, that shift is now happening on a much larger scale. Google has announced that Gemini for Education is now available across all 20 public universities in the country, bringing AI-powered tools directly into the existing Google Workspace for Education ecosystem already used by these institutions.

Generative AI has spent the last couple of years as something you mostly "go try" on a special website or in a separate tool. That's changing fast. Now the big shift is happening where people actually live day-to-day: the default apps on their phones.
