During the tabling of Budget 2026, Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced a major move: the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) will spearhead the development of a Sovereign AI Cloud, backed by a substantial RM2 billion investment.
