I recently spent some time refining and updating my OneXGPU Panel, and on the surface it might look like a routine software refresh. In reality, this update touches several areas that quietly make or break a smooth eGPU workflow on Windows, especially if you jump between onboard graphics and an external GPU regularly like I do.

If you've ever used an external GPU (eGPU) with Windows, you'll know it's not always a smooth ride. In fact, I was consistently hit with Windows crashes and system instability whenever I disconnected my eGPU setup.

In April 2025, I decided to give my Surface Pro 8 a serious GPU boost by picking up the ONEXGPU 7600M XT, a compact external GPU solution that promised desktop-class gaming power in a sleek, minimalist enclosure. With USB4 becoming more common in ultraportables, I figured—why not?

We all knew AMD was set to launch the Radeon RX 9070 Series at the end of the month, but surprise, surprise—some retailers jumped the gun. Over in Eastern Europe, one lucky (or opportunistic) buyer managed to get their hands on the RX 9070 XT early, and naturally, they wasted no time unboxing it for the internet.
