WhatsApp has been slowly expanding its "view once" feature over the years, and now it looks like text messages may be next in line. The feature originally arrived in 2021 for photos and videos, giving users a way to send media that could only be opened once by the recipient. Later, WhatsApp extended the same idea to voice messages, making temporary sharing useful for more than just images and clips.

Malaysia is preparing to introduce stricter age verification requirements for social media users as part of the upcoming Online Safety Act implementation. Starting from 1 June 2026, social media platforms operating in the country will be expected to verify users' ages using official government-issued documents, such as identity cards, passports, or other recognised documents.

Apple is reportedly preparing a major AI-focused overhaul of Siri, and privacy may become one of the biggest selling points of the new experience. WhatsApp is adding a new privacy-focused feature for users who interact with Meta AI inside the messaging app. Called Incognito Chat, the feature is designed to give users a more private way to ask questions through the AI chatbot, especially when the topic involves sensitive personal information.
