At the Digital Nation Summit (DNS) on September 23, the industry revealed plans for a federated network service that could change the way businesses verify customers.

Singapore, often regarded as one of Southeast Asia's most digitally advanced economies, has just taken a bold step in tightening the noose around scammers and their accomplices. And frankly, Malaysia could benefit from paying close attention.

The Inland Revenue Board (IRB) and MyDigital ID Sdn Bhd are stepping up their game to make digital identity adoption in Malaysia more seamless and widespread. The two organizations are working hand-in-hand to integrate MyDigital ID into key platforms like MyTax and MySTR – a move that's expected to bring a new level of convenience, security, and trust to public services.

Malaysians can now check their Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) status and cash aid applications using MyDigital ID via the official STR portal.
