The idea of Xbox and Netflix joining forces for a subscription bundle has started gaining attention online, even though nothing official has been announced. According to recent reports, Microsoft's Xbox division and Netflix have previously discussed the possibility of combining their subscription services in some form, creating a potential crossover between gaming and streaming entertainment.

Netflix is once again pushing its subscription prices higher, at least in the United States, adding another round of cost increases for users who are already used to seeing streaming prices slowly creep upward. The updated U.S. pricing now lists the ad-supported plan at US$8.99, the standard ad-free plan at US$19.99, and the premium tier at US$26.99. Multiple reports say the changes first appeared on Netflix's support pages rather than through a major public rollout.

The entertainment world is buzzing again – and this time, the spotlight is on a potential mega-deal that could reshape the global streaming landscape. Netflix, the world's largest streaming service, has reportedly emerged as the front-runner to buy Warner Bros Discovery (WBD), the powerhouse behind HBO, CNN, and the legendary Warner Bros studios. If this acquisition goes through, it would mark one of the biggest entertainment mergers in recent years.

Nielsen's monthly audience report, The Gauge, reveals that streaming captured a whopping 44.8% of total TV usage in the U.S. during May. Compare that to 24% for cable and 20% for broadcast TV. For years, streaming has been inching closer to the top, but now it's officially the main way Americans watch TV.
