The Linux ecosystem just hit another milestone. Linus Torvalds has officially released Linux kernel 6.18, and while he mentioned he would have preferred a calmer final development week, the update was stable enough to ship. With that, Linux users now have access to a wide range of improvements touching everything from memory management and networking to virtualization, storage, security, and hardware support.

Windows 11's October update has become one of the most frustrating rollouts in recent memory. What was supposed to be a routine Patch Tuesday release instead turned into a headache for everyday users, IT departments and, most loudly, the gaming community.

Windows 11 has introduced quite a few visual changes—sleeker corners, smoother animations, and of course, the redesigned right-click context menu. While Microsoft intended it to look cleaner and more modern, many users quickly discovered that the new experience felt… well, incomplete. Icons missing, common options buried under "Show more options," and an extra click needed for even the simplest tasks.
